I graduated Muleshoe High School in 1965 and Wayland Baptist University in 1969. I have taught school since then.
I have my BA in English with teaching fields in Secondary English, Spanish, Special Education, ESL, Theater, Journalism, and Library Media.
I began teaching at Adrian in 2017. This is my 4th year to be here teaching English and Theater. I am also the school librarian.
I started teacher in 1969 in Texico, NM. I have taught in Lazbuddie, Muleshoe, Bovina, and now Adrian. I worked 2 years for WTAMU observing student teachers. I was able to see the struggles and successes of beginning teachers and give them encouragement to affect students’ lives. In total I have taught 52 years and still enjoy it.
I have a wonderful husband of 50 years who always supports me in my teaching and projects I concoct. I have 2 children: Janna who is married, has three children, and is an elementary librarian for Amarillo ISD; Cary who has twin girls and is an RN at the ER at the VA in Amarillo.
Spending time with my fsmily is my main hobby. I don’t have time for anything else.
